TIU is located on Level 6, Queensland Police Headquarters, 200 Roma Street, Brisbane.
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:

- Respond to enquiries concerning pending, current and expiring telecommunication interception warrants, stored communications warrants, international production orders and prospective data authorisations from internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Provide administrative advice and support to QPS senior management and stakeholders on mandated reporting requirements as required under the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (Cwlth) and the Telecommunications Interception Act 2009 (Qld).
- Manage and maintain high level systems administration and state-wide tasking in relation to telecommunications regimes.
- Assist with the collation and delivery of information and data and other associated reports as mandated by Commonwealth and State TI legislation, including coordination of inspections by the Public Interest Monitor (Qld) and the Commonwealth Ombudsman.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity at all times and actively contribute towards the physical security of TIU premises and equipment, intercepted data, warrant information and operational methodologies.
- Maintain a secure environment and repository for all telecommunication regimes and associated highly classified documentation.
- Manage the agency's record keeping and compliance requirements across all telecommunications regimes in strict adherence with legislation, QPS policy and procedures.
- Liaise with and report to TIU management regarding the status of all telecommunications regimes and assist with internal TIU planning for upcoming operations.
- Lead, direct and coordinate subordinate administrative staff involved in telecommunications regimes management and compliance reporting.

**Role Requirements**:Mandatory**:

- The successful applicant will be required to undergo a hearing test and psychometric assessment prior to appointment, if successful, there may be arequirement to undergo regular hearing and psychometric assessments.

- The successful applicant may be required to work at various locations within Brisbane in which the Operations Support Command conducts business.
