We provide services and technology to enable the circular lifecycle of a drink container, from purchase to collection, through to recycling and remanufacturing. Our services include IT technology, payments, brand experience, customer support, and materials trading.

Container Exchange Services (CES) is a joint venture between Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Lion that was established to provide scalable and sustainable solutions for Container Deposit Schemes (CDS) in Australia and around the World. We power one of Australia’s largest recycling programs: Containers for Change.

As an organisation, we are in our third successful year of operation having grown rapidly in revenue and people. The business is undergoing massive growth through our existing recycling schemes and expanding into new states.

**Description**:
The Role

We’re looking for a Head of Product & Applications to develop and lead a team of product managers, owners and analysts across all phases of modern software product management from strategic initiative-driven major projects to continuous improvement through enhancements and L2 product support.

You’ll manage resources within the product team and set priorities to achieve strategic goals and value-based delivery, working closely with Engineering and Test Teams to successfully deliver change. This high visibility role is a primary feeder role for IT Director as part of succession planning.

With the support of our Agile Portfolio Office, you will lead product related strategic engagement and executive communication with our key customers and business partners, championing the case for value and success criteria-based projects over feature-based projects.

You’ll report to the IT Director as part of a collaborative and close-knit IT leadership team, and be based in Sydney, with the ability to travel to our offices in North Sydney twice a week.

**Your Mission**:
Partner with Engineering to increase platform scalability and flexibility as CES doubles its revenue and clients in the next 3 years; evolve a newly-formed product team into a mature, high performing organisation that consistently delivers to Project schedule and budget metrics, with an embedded client engagement model for streamlined communication.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- In collaboration with Engineering, translate CES and key client strategic needs into multi-year product roadmaps, driving client engagement on long-term planning.
- Convert the product direction and architecture into multi-year product roadmaps and a portfolio of work
- Provide governance over product including all projects and product enhancements with controls and artifacts to deliver value on time and to the quality expected by our customer
- Build strong relationships with key senior client and internal business stakeholders to drive communication and alignment
- Leverage Scrum as a change framework to ensure effective collaboration between product and engineering
- Manage, coach, and mentor product specialists, business analysts and data analysts into high performing teams
- Support the implementation and improvement of Lean Portfolio by the Portfolio Manager with CES and our clients

**Your Experience**:

- Solid experience and understanding of modern software design and delivery
- At least 3 years embedded in an agile delivery organisation, with experience implementing and improving agile methodologies
- A career path that has included hands-on experience in Business Analysis, Architecture and Product areas
- Experience in commercial delivery environment - ideally as a systems implementor
- Experience working with software engineers and solutions/enterprise architects.
- Experience owning an end-to-end product strategy and accompanying roadmap
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product roadmap and product delivery.
- Relevant Product and Agile Certification:

- Product Management certification and experience (mandatory)
- SCRUM certification and experience (mandatory)
- Scaled Agile certification and experience (desirable)
- Lean Portfolio certification and experience (desirable)
