**Position Objectives**
The key function of this role is to assist in ensuring the supply and quality of facilities on all Big Picture jobs is maintained to the highest possible standard and expectations of the Big Picture brand.

The following job description for Junior Video Technician is intended to define the minimum requirements of this position, and by no means limits the individual to its content.

**Position Description**
A Big Picture Junior Technician member’s primary role is to be involved with the daily coordination of
Big Picture warehouse activities. Through Big Picture’s training program, the Junior Technician will progress to also assisting with onsite setup, operation and removal of the equipment required on our shows as necessary. You must have a basic knowledge of technical equipment and actively seek ways to further your knowledge alongside our Training Coordinator, Senior Technicians and
Warehouse Manager.

You will need to be involved in, and further your knowledge of the Big Picture Warehouse operations.
This will include logistics, the preparation, delivery & collection of equipment and maintaining inventory systems. Other warehouse duties will include:

- Be responsible for the correct neat and tidy storage of stock within the warehouse.
- Maintain good working knowledge of the inventory and their maintenance schedules held by Big Picture.
- Utilise and maintain the R2 Rental program to track and record data relating to stock and its movement.
- Prepare, pack and complete dispatch requirements for jobs as specified by the Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager **.**
- Manage the return of stock to the warehouse including scanning of all assets back into Rental

System and ensure all gear is returned in a correct and operational order.
- Be responsible for the testing of equipment according to the regulations. This is a continuous process of which this position is directly responsible.
- Pick up and deliver stock to and from customers where required.
- Become familiar with the general technical specifications and key attributes of the equipment used and purchased by Big Picture in carrying out its production of jobs.
- Undertake necessary testing of all equipment prior to the commencement of the event to ensure the correct and proper working order required to carry out the nominated job.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the warehouse, ensuring all bins are emptied and floor is kept clear and swept at the end of each working day where possible.

Through Big Picture’s training program, the Junior Technician will also strive to further their knowledge of the operation of all Big Picture equipment systems including LED, Projection, Camera & Playback with a goal to become an asset on Big Picture’s event work. On the job responsibilities will include:

- Take brief of set up from Technicians or Project Managers on each job.
- On site, confirm all gear required for job has been delivered.
- Undertake the safe and complete system set up.
- Be available to undertake any necessary amendments or changes to set up as required by the technicians.
- Ensure the safe storage and security of all equipment on location or whilst being stored outside of the warehouse on all Big Picture jobs.
- Become familiar with the way in which Big Picture works and operates on site.
- Be capable in running crews of Stage Hands who assist in the setup and pack down of Big

Picture Events.

The Junior Technician staff will need to be flexible towards their hours of work and be able to work in a team environment in order to achieve the goals of each task they undertake.

**Physical demands**
Your role is one that is a physically strenuous and demanding job. In the course of your day, you may be involved in heavy lifting, the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles, pulling, pushing and managing heavy equipment and objects. As such, you will need to maintain the necessary level of health and fitness to carry out the full range of duties required in your role.
