Position description

We seek an enthusiastic Pathology Collector to join our experienced Commercial Pathology team in based at Macquarie Park. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Travelling to work sites within NSW collecting blood and non-blood samples directly from patients of all ages and conducting basic tests such as ECG and drug and alcohol screening
- Preparing and delivering samples within set timescales
- Liaise with Commercial clients, new and existing
- Various offices duties as required

Essential requirements:

- Certificate III in Pathology Collection
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Sound Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to be flexible with start and finish times as require

Desirable:

- DOAT collection accreditation to AS/NZS 4308:2008 standard
- Practical phlebotomy experience (ideally 6 months minimum)
- A full unrestricted license
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- 3 doses of COVID-19 and commitment to annual influenza vaccination.
- National Police Check, Federal Police Check and Working with Children clearance.
- Current First Aid Certificate

While this is a full-time position (38hrs per week) the applicant must be flexible with start and finish times. Some weekend work will be required.
