**About the Role**:
**Role Purpose**:
Be an expert member of a Team of data modelling professionals
- As a senior member of the group provide guidance to other data modellers
- Undertake data modelling and related activities associated with the role and the job type
- Support Enterprise data models - Normalised and Dimensional
- Develop and implement data modelling principles and processes
- Develop and implement data modelling principles and processes
- Develop and implement data asset governance processes, and ensure adherence to these standards
- Provide leadership to project and engineering teams on matters of modelling and data architecture
- Advisory to internal data governance and architecture forums
- Provide Consultancy and education to the enterprise in relation to data conformance and modelling

**Role Description**:
Key Decision Making:

- Construct and review data models in accordance with standards
- Develop and embed good data modelling and data asset governance practices
- Working with others make decisions on data models and work with the head to refine, approve and present ideas and data models for larger enterprise approval

Key Accountabilities:

- Review, design, manage, uplift enterprise data models for strategic data platforms
- Provide effective governance of model development

Stakeholders
- Work with a number of stakeholder groups including enterprise data and architects
- Work with data delivery and orchestration teams, analytics and insights teams, data provisioning platform and architecture teams
- Leadership teams include some senior stakeholders
- Banking Business SME’s, data steward
- Data Engineering Teams

Key Performance Indicators
- Meet the following key job requirements:

- Ensure the correct levels of compliance of data models built to enterprise standards
- Turnaround of model design / governance requests
- Proactively manage risk meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls, adhere to process and procedures pertinent to the role and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified to the relevant controls and escalation forums.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Essential Capabilities
- Logical and Physical data modelling in complex environments - spanning traditional data warehousing to the Cloud Data Platform
- Experience in different modelling methodologies including 3NF, Dimensional and Data Vault
- Experience in IFW or similar Banking model tools or Frameworks is highly desirable.
- Results Driven, analytical and creative thinking

- Self-motivated and proactive
- Highly organised
- Has strong stakeholder relationship management
- Prior experience working in an agile squad environment with mínimal supervision

Other Capabilities
- Highly desirable - Proficient and experienced with Erwin and IBM/FSLDM industry data model
- Highly desirable - Banking Domain background
- Strong SQL knowledge will be very useful

**Role Requirment**:

- 7+ years of data modelling and or data architecture experience - proven credentials where the person played a leadership role in this expertise
- Sound knowledge of data modelling practices and processes
- Demonstrated record of building trusting relationships and business partnering and key internal stakeholders
- Experience in large enterprise and financial services firms
- Managed teams of greater than 6 people
- Education level - Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Understanding of Financial Services Industry could be highly advantageous.
