**As renewable energy generation is seeing substantial growth and capital inflows globally, driven by decarbonisation goals and increasing competitiveness compared to traditional power generation. With a worldwide reach, our client invests in clean energy markets to promote the transition to a greener global economy. They focus on developing sustainable infrastructure projects globally, including renewable energy, energy storage, and waste-to-energy initiatives. Their portfolio includes projects that have effectively reduced greenhouse gas emissions and increased the usage of renewable energy sources.**

**Our client is seeking a Renewable Investment Analyst to join their newly -formed Renewable Energy Assets team.**

We are looking for an individual with strong financial acumen and the ability to manage the progression of many renewable development opportunities with multiple stakeholders, and lead on commercial modeling of these investment opportunities in an organised and efficient manner.

The initial focus of Renewable Energy Assets strategy is on the investment into utility scale wind, solar and battery asset developments in Australia and our client has developed a small, refined team with expertise across commercial; asset solution development; asset origination; legal; and business operations, to drive the successful development of these large-scale assets through to final investment decision.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Valuation of wind, BESS and solar opportunities through bespoke financial models
- Manage and oversee internal and external acquisition due diligence
- Support the governance and approvals process for achieving investment committee signoff for the development of these large-scale projects, including leading the development of investment committee papers
- Lead and support on the commercial requirements, including reviewing and developing agreements, and any other commercial requirements
- Taking the initiative to network and build relationships with developer partners to ensure smooth and efficient progress with the acquisition of any project opportunities
- Engage in corporate PPA opportunities across the Australia PPA origination pipeline

**Competencies**
- Several years’ experience within the energy industry, specifically within renewable energy is preferred; and finance experience/exposure is desirable (along with any other relevant professional qualifications, including CFA)
- Strong aptitude to learn and put into practice complex financial and industry concepts
- Self-motivated with a real ‘can-do’ attitude to drive assets from origination through to final investment decision, with acceptance of accountability
- Organised, diligent, and able to manage multiple live projects on an ongoing basis in a tight deadline environment
- Degree in a relevant competency
