Randwick City Council is currently seeking a skilled and highly motivated Swimming Pool Compliance Officer to join our Health, Building and Regulatory Services department. This is a permanent opportunity that requires an enthusiastic team member to effectively implement Council’s regulatory functions and services, principally in relation to inspections and certificates under the Swimming Pools Act 1992.

**What you will bring**
- Tertiary qualifications in compliance or regulatory services; relevant trade or occupation; or, demonstrated ability or experience to undertake the key accountabilities
- Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory functions within the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and relevant Standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships and work effectively in a team
- Ability to thoroughly research, assess and determine regulatory matters, negotiate and develop solutions to achieve satisfactory outcomes
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills
- High quality communication and report writing skills

**Things you will do**
- Effectively and efficiently implement Council’s regulatory swimming pool compliance and other regulatory functions and services
- Implement Council’s Swimming Pool Program and Council’s regulatory responsibilities under the Swimming Pools Act 1992
- Act as an authorised officer and exercise delegated authority, to issue notices, orders, directions and penalty infringements and undertake enforcement responsibilities under the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and other relevant legislation,
