NSW Health Pathology is seeking an enthusiastic hard-working person to be a Medical Laboratory Assistant within the Prince of Wales Hospital, in a permanent full-time capacity.

NSWHP Randwick is located within the Prince of Wales hospital with public transport available direct to the hospital by bus or light rail from Central Station and is in close proximity to many cafes/ restaurants and UNSW which has a gym, library and swimming pool.

**What you'll be doing**

Perform a range of laboratory support and procurement duties and provide assistance to laboratory staff, under supervision, to deliver a patient focused service.
- Demonstrated experience with procurement tasks such as maintaining stocks/storage, invoice management and enquires
- A working knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, all aspects of the laboratory environment relevant to the Haematology department
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer service experience and skills, preferably in a laboratory environment, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical staff
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to investigate and resolve general issues within the laboratory environment
- Awareness of legislation, policies and requirements relevant to a laboratory setting
