Operator Formulation

We are hiring for two Operators in our manufacturing department at Parkville site.

The Operator (Formulation IVV-Influenza Virus Vaccine) will support and participate in the manufacture of Human Vaccines in accordance with cGMP and Seqirus Quality Management Systems.

Please note this will be fixed term (24 Months) opportunity.

The Role:

- Complete all tasks in accordance with cGMP and Seqirus Quality Management System
- Perform tasks according to Seqirus EHS requirements
- Prepare equipment used in the formulation process. This includes bottles, portable tanks, fittings, filter etc. This task will include using automated and manual washing equipment, integrity testing of portable tanks and using autoclaves to sterilise equipment.
- Formulate buffers / solutions and media etc. associated with the process. This will include using load cells, balances, pH meters, stirrer bases and controllers. The process also requires using filters and performing sterile filtration activities.
- Formulate vaccine. This includes using aseptic processing techniques. The process requires accurate documentation annotation using Batch Process Sheets and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. Performing calculations, verifying critical process parameters and co-ordinating activities for vaccine formulation is a major component of the task. They will also be responsible for submitting test samples to QC according to QC protocols.

To be suitable for this position you will have the following:

- Good communicator and have a proactive attitude
- Demonstrated knowledge of GxP and Quality Management Systems
- Be flexible with shift times and adaptable to change
- A satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy must be met
- Experience working to timelines and tight schedules
