**The Role**
The Landfill Specialist will work along side Technical Directors and EPA accredited Auditors on all facets of landfill design, construction and environmental compliance. The role will involve field work, report writing and design. In more detail, other responsibilities include;
- Assessment of environmental impacts from landfills and waste facilities
- Landfill gas and soil vapour mitigation system design and assessment
- Design of landfill cells and liners
- Design of leachate and landfill gas capture and treatment systems
- Design of resource recovery facilities
- Due diligence for acquisitions of waste facilities and infrastructure
- Waste strategies
- Resource recovery
- Landfill rehabilitation and development
- Environmental assessment, risk assessment and monitoring

**The Requirements**
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering)
- At least 5 years experience working on Australian landfill projects in a consultancy environment
- A current valid driver's license
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills required for report writing and client liaison
