Our Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Manager supports safety, quality and compliance across our Essilor operations in Australia and New Zealand.

As well as maintaining a high standard of safety and environmental compliance across our production facilities in Australia, this role will ensure that Total Quality Management Systems and Processes are implemented consistently across our business, maintain or improve our ISO standards through preparing audits and certifications and provide hands-on support, training and guidance to production staff.

The role provides leadership and delivers a broad impact by driving a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement, ensuring the consistent and high standards of quality we require for our Customers.

This is a great opportunity to work in a role combining hands-on operational work, with the chance to set and implement strategy.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the Optical or Medical Device Industry

Experience in managing EHS policies, standards, and in fostering a safety culture

Significant exposure to, and experience working with ISO standards, audits and certifications (working with ISO 13485 - Medical Devices, ISO 140001 /45001 will be highly regarded)

Exposure to, and experience working within strict regulatory frameworks (Therapeutic Goods Administration preferred, or transferable skills from other standards such as Food Safety Administration)

Excellent relationship management skills, with an ability to work across the business from front-line employees to senior leadership

Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple simultaneous projects/priorities

Degree qualifications in Operations Management, Engineering or Supply Chain (or related experience)

Certification to ISO Internal/Lead Auditor level (preferred)

Some travel will be required to Essilor facilities across Australia and New Zealand.
