ROLE - GENERAL

This will include developing a network of media contacts within business and industry for pitching media releases and story ideas to. This position is also responsible for measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of all media and social media activities.

**Key responsibilities**
- Assist with maintaining documentation and processes relating to marketing and communications in line with NCVER policy guidelines
- Provide specialist communications support to managers and colleagues
- Develop and implement project-based marketing, promotional and publicity plans and campaigns
- Develop and distribute quality and relevant content for projects and activities related to digital media including web and social media
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal communication strategies
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of events, promotions and social media activities as it relates to marketing and communications
- Source relevant information that supports project objectives
- Understand project goals, steps to be undertaken and expected timelines and outcomes
- Monitor the completion of project milestones against goals and identify and escalate any possible variations from project scope, or risks to achieving outcomes
- Assist in preparing documentation to support cost or resource estimates for projects
- Participate and contribute to reviews to inform future improvements

**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Cultivate effective stakeholder relationships
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on administrative and operational matters
- Provide information to others on stakeholder groups to enable the development of products and services that meet stakeholder needs

**Technical proficiency**
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of digital technologies relevant to the team, and identify and select the most appropriate technology for assigned tasks
- Identify opportunities to use a broad range of communications technologies to deliver effective messages
- Understand, act on and monitor compliance with information systems and technology security policies, procedures and guidelines
- Identify ways to leverage the value of digital technologies to achieve team outcomes, using existing technology
- Support compliance with information and knowledge management requirements of the organisation

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- To be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Proven experience in dealing with the media
- Intermediate to advanced skills in marketing and communications software including MailChimp, social media management platforms, event management software and online survey tools
- Relevant qualification in marketing, communications, public relations or related fields
