**Position Outline**
We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Social Media Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy. The primary focus will be on managing the organisation's online presence across various social media platforms, including content creation, audience engagement, performance analysis, and running social media campaigns to achieve key marketing objectives such as brand awareness and stakeholder engagement. This role is part-time (0.6 FTE), offering flexibility while ensuring impactful marketing and communications delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Social Media Strategy and Content Creation**- Develop and execute a social media strategy, including identifying target audiences, choosing relevant platforms, setting goals, and developing content calendars.
- Plan, create, and manage regular and engaging social media content, including videos, stories, graphics, and written posts tailored for different platforms.
- Monitor and manage social media engagement by actively interacting with followers, responding to inquiries, and fostering community engagement.
- Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- **Marketing and Communications**- Write, edit, and format content for presentations, reports, newsletters, and other communication materials to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Design, deliver, and manage a broad range of marketing collateral for diverse audiences.
- Assist with the promotion, coordination, and execution of business events.
- Coordinate and deliver awareness campaigns and related projects, collaborating with partners and consultants.
- Proofread and edit materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to the organisation’s style guide.
- **Strategic and Advisory Functions**- Provide expert advice and recommendations on communication tactics, channels, and tools to enhance engagement and outreach.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives, adjusting as required to ensure the achievement of marketing goals.

**Selection Criteria**
**Essential**
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a relevant marketing, social media, or communications role.
- Proven ability to develop engaging and accessible written content tailored for different audiences.
- Strong proficiency in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) with an understanding of digital trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant marketing tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work autonomously.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering marketing campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively within a small team.

**Desirable**
- Strong storytelling and creative writing skills.
- Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) for content creation and design.
- Compassionate attitude and an understanding of the needs of people in crisis.
- Experience working in a community-based organisation or hybrid work environment.
