**About the Role**:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Officer to support the delivery of innovative STEAM and project-based learning programs at our Tech Schools. You’ll play a key role in integrating technology into education, maintaining equipment and facilities, and supporting students and staff in creating prototypes using CAD, 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting, VR/AR, and more. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about STEM, with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Set up and pack down technologies for programs and events
- Maintain and repair equipment and workstations
- Manage stock control and procurement of new technologies
- Provide technical support for exhibitions and events
- Assist students and staff in implementing technology for learning
- Ensure compliance with WHS, Child Safe Standards, and internal policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Support professional learning and innovation initiatives
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Certificate-level qualifications in Design Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Computer Technology or related discipline (essential)
- Experience in CAD, 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting, and electronics assembly
- Strong ICT skills across PC, Android, Windows, Microsoft, Google, and CAD software
- Understanding of WHS in relation to machinery and equipment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for STEM and innovation
**Additional Requirements**:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
