About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Officer to support the delivery of innovative STEAM and project-based learning programs at our Tech Schools. You'll play a key role in integrating technology into education, maintaining equipment and facilities, and supporting students and staff in creating prototypes using CAD, 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting, VR/AR, and more. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about STEM, with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and pack down technologies for programs and events
  • Maintain and repair equipment and workstations
  • Manage stock control and procurement of new technologies
  • Provide technical support for exhibitions and events
  • Assist students and staff in implementing technology for learning
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, Child Safe Standards, and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Support professional learning and innovation initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
  • Certificate-level qualifications in Design Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Computer Technology or related discipline (essential)
  • Experience in CAD, 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting, and electronics assembly
  • Strong ICT skills across PC, Android, Windows, Microsoft, Google, and CAD software
  • Understanding of WHS in relation to machinery and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for STEM and innovation
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
