**What are we looking for?**

We now have an opportunity for a Law Clerk to join our team in Sydney. This role is a full time permanent position.

Exposure to asbestos, a mineral commonly used in building materials up until the mid-80s, can cause a range of serious and life-threatening health issues. Over the past 35 years, Slater and Gordon Asbestos Lawyers have acted for thousands of mesothelioma sufferers and many others suffering from asbestos related lung cancer and asbestosis. We have a proud history of fighting successfully for asbestos victims, while ensuring we do everything we can to support them and their families.

In this role you will assist the team to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the files including preparation of matters for trial. Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Providing a tailored approach to each client’s matter
- Reviewing medical material and preparing a chronology
- Preparing legal correspondence, court documents and briefs to Counsel
- Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations

**What will you bring?**
- Exposure to Asbestos compensation or similar personal injury matters
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems
- A natural passion for helping people and high level of empathy
- Exceptional experience in communication and customer service
- Excellent written and drafting skills
- Recognise the importance of attention to detail and time management
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
