We're on the hunt for a passionate **Software Team Leader** for the **Fare Payment** stream of our Vix Pulse platform. Reporting to and working closely with the Solution Stream Lead, you will lead a diverse team of highly talented engineers in developing solutions enabling passengers to make the paying for travel simple and trustworthy, but also transit agencies across the world to provide loyalty benefits and being a real player within the whole transit ecosystem. Under our flexible working policy, this role can be performed remotely, in our office or a hybrid approach; the choice is yours.

The role requires someone who puts the needs of their team - both collectively and individually - first, whilst helping the Stream Lead and Product Owner realise the delivery plan. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to both lead and motivate the team.

This role will suit someone that loves a variety of responsibilities and collaborating with multiple teams across the globe.

**What will you be responsible for?**
- Forming relationships with your individual direct reports, to understand their individual roles, skill sets, strengths and challenges
- Working with the team to create and sustain a safe and healthy team culture, encouraging productive collaboration within and beyond the team
- Working with your direct reports to form their professional development plan, including guiding OKR definition and career path discussions
- Work with other members of the organisation to guide agile practices within the team.
- Finding ways to keep continuous improvement at the forefront of the team’s ways of working.
- Facilitate workshops and team discussions.
- Help the team collaborate with other teams within Vix - as well as partners outside of the organisation.
- Working with the Stream Lead to shape and realise the delivery plan for the Stream
- Collaborating with the Product Owner and Principal Engineer to elaborate the product vision and technical design approach with the team.
- Assist the Stream lead in communicating development status, risks and issues with project managers and portfolio managers.
- Assist the Stream Lead and Product Owner in capacity planning and preparation of upcoming sprints.
- Assisting the Stream Lead with hiring of new engineers.
- Experience leading a team, coaching
- Ability to build relationships with various people
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
- Good analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in agile, particularly working within the Scrum framework.
- A sound understanding of the fundamentals of the software build process.
