We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic support workers to join our dedicated team in Greenslopes and surrounding suburbs to provide person centered care to our participants.

**About the Role**

Our participant is seeking for a motivated and flexible disability support worker to join our team on a casual basis. You must be reliable, trustworthy and passionate support worker to join our team at Greenslopes. You are expected to possess strong interpersonal skills to engage and hold conversations with the client. Diabetes experience and proficient insulin administration skills are essential requirements for staff.

Your role will involve assisting the participants with daily personal care, medications especially the morning insulin, light domestic chores and assistance with food preparation.

You must be available for a two-hour shift on Saturday 9:00am - 11:00am and willing to attend insulin administration training with the nurse.

**Clients Supports Needs**
- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Prompting assistance: personal care, meal preparation and managing appointments
- Physical assistance required with domestic duties and other tasks as required
- Managed and record insulin level and administer insulin

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Cert 3 Individual Support or equivalent and/or minimum 1 year experience supporting clients with Psychosocial disabilities and/or complex behaviours is highly desirable
- Valid Drivers licence essential
- Current Paid employee Blue Card
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
