Social Worker

• Permanent Part-Time | 3 Days per Week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team, primarily supporting patients within our mental health unit, which provides inpatient, day program, and outpatient services for the Veteran community.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver trauma-informed care through individual therapy, group facilitation, case management, and family support. You will also contribute to discharge planning and help patients navigate psychosocial challenges as part of a holistic treatment approach.

About You

You are a compassionate and skilled clinician with experience in:

• Mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions.
• Case management and recovery-oriented care.
• Supporting patients and families through complex psychosocial issues such as financial stress or housing insecurity.

Your ability to engage collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and support patient recovery will make you an invaluable part of our service.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor of Social Work.
• Eligible for Membership with relevant professional association (AASW).
• Clinical experience in mental health and/or hospital setting.
• Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical skills and experience in providing mental health assessment and evidence-based treatments for mental health (individual and/or group facilitation).
• Demonstrated practical skills in case management, liaising with stakeholders, discharge planning and community referral.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and customers.
• Accurate and timely completion of administration and documentation requirements.

Desirable Criteria:

• Group facilitation skills.
• Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
• Specialised knowledge of the needs of the Veteran community and mental health legislation.
• Post-graduate qualification.

Renumeration:Grade 1 Year 1 – Grade 2 Year 5, depending on level of experience (RHC QLD Health Professional Enterprise Agreement).
