Graduate/consultant - Cities

**The opportunity**:
**We’re growing our Cities team in Sydney and have an exciting opportunity for someone with two to five years of experience post-university.**

Join our team of intelligent and collaborative Changemakers and make your mark on tomorrow In this role, you’ll work with senior industry leaders in WSP as a **Graduate or Consultant** focussing on precincts and cities throughout Australia.

You will work on a range of projects that are city-shaping, precinct-building and street enhancing. This includes strategy, policy and guidelines related to urban issues; and advisory services working closely with other teams across WSP Australia on urban regeneration, integrated precinct and place-based investments, feasibility studies, master-planning, transit-oriented development, sustainability, resilience, urban economics and Movement and Place.

**In this role you will**:

- Support the strategic planning, development and delivery of projects and programs in urban contexts
- Leverage your understanding of the built environment and the social and economic factors for places and communities
- Support and integrate all stages of the project development cycle, working with teams across various WSP disciplines including our Indigenous, transport planning, property, stakeholder engagement and town planning teams
- Foster great relationships with our clients and help them achieve exceptional community and place outcomes
- Work with planners, urban designers, engineers, government agencies, and the public, to develop our cities and regional areas, from streetscapes to buildings, precincts and towns
- Support the Director of Cities and the Cities team based in Sydney, and the broader Strategic Advisory branch to deliver projects and win work.

**What we'll love about you**
- You are super passionate about creating great places for people and have a burning desire to make positive changes to mitigate climate change, switch to sustainable transport, enable social equity and cohesion, build resilience, and integrate with Country
- You bring 2-5 years of experience in a consulting, advisory or government role, and are ready to hit the ground running on a range of exciting projects
- You have an understanding of the NSW built environment, planning, transport, or government context
- You’ve worked in any of the following areas: integrated land use and transport planning, urban policy, strategic policy development, urban design, architecture or landscape architecture, movement and place, precinct planning, strategic business cases or governance
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Property, Urban Planning/ Design, Engineering, Urban Economics or a related discipline
- You have outstanding writing skills, with experience writing policies, strategies, plans and reports
- You’re able to distil complex information, think strategically and translate it into practical solutions.
