**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Trade Assistant to join our Welshpool team. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting Diesel Fitters with service and repairs of heavy engineering parts and components.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

- Assist trades people conducting repairs of mechanical equipment and parts,
- Assist with maintaining the workshop and associated equipment in a safe, clean, and tidy condition,
- Operation of grinders, spray painting equipment and other tools and machinery as required in a safe manner.

**About You**

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

- Sound mechanical aptitude,
- Ability to operate grinders, spray painting equipment and other tools and machinery safely,
- Excellent attention to detail,
- Hands on person who can prioritise workload and work to deadlines,
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team,
- Forklift licence (beneficial but not essential),
- Previous experience working in mining / manufacturing industry (preferred).
