Trade Assistant – Trailers | Welshpool, WA

We are currently seeking a hands-on and reliable Trade Assistant to join our team in Welshpool, Perth. In this role, you'll support the inspection, maintenance and repair of trailers. Ensuring all work complies with safety and Main Roads (WA) accreditation requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers
  • Perform maintenance on brake, air systems, suspension, and 12V electrical systems.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults
  • Use a variety of workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team

Requirements:

  • Basic diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of hand and power tools
  • A valid Australian driver's licence
  • Own basic hand tools
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Competitive hourly rate, plus penalties for overtime.

Desired and Advantageous:

  • Current Forklift License
