_Broadcast Virtual turns live sports events into advertising platforms without the need for physical signage through the use of augmented reality technology. Our solution allows real-time insertion of virtual advertisements in any type of live sporting event using hardware and software technology developed in house to keep the advertising tied to its field position, regardless of camera motion._

We are looking for a talented individual to join our pool of Casual Field Technicians around Australia. The role has a heavy emphasis on broadcast engineering and the technical side of production, as the system requires working closely with broadcast providers to set up and deliver the system at outside broadcasts.

The role is unique in the broadcast industry and training is included. Shifts vary in frequency depending on the sports that are on (Winter is predominantly Thursday - Sunday; Summer can be up to every day of the week). Some interstate travel is available. Rate is $60/hr excluding super.

Role
- Attend live sports broadcasts as the primary VR Technician at various sports grounds, responsible for the setup, delivery and packdown of the VR system at each event
- Work directly with a VR Camera Assist, and closely with the host broadcaster technical and production staff
- Set up and troubleshoot computer hardware and tracking equipment, which involves a degree of physical labour
- Set up, operate and monitor our in-house VR software
- Quickly identify, remedy and escalate issues or outages
- Be self contained and self sufficient in delivering the product in remote locations
- Comfortable working unusual and long hours (inline with the sports broadcast industry), in all weather conditions.

Experience
- None required, however a keen interest or desire to work within the broadcast industry would be beneficial

Nice to have
- Working technical knowledge of camera systems
- Solid understanding of 3D space concepts
- Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
- Computer networking skills
- OB experience

Required
- Valid passport
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence
- Australian citizen or resident
- Own vehicle (not required to transport gear)

- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only (inc. New Zealand Citizens)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 24 per week
