**About the Opportunity**:
The role of the Mental Health Clinician with HASI Plus is a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the HASI Plus program across the New England and Hunter area. HASI Plus aims to better support people with severe and persistent mental health issues with complex needs and their carers and families, by effectively ascertaining the support needs of people who access our services through assessment and implementing strategic support planning in collaboration with the person who accesses our service, HASI Plus staff, and relevant stakeholders.

The Mental Health Clinician with HASI Plus will develop positive working relationships with people who access our services, their family members, carers and other key supports. They are involved in utilising clinical tools and therapies as part of support planning in conjunction with individuals and their support persons to work towards sustainable recovery.

The Mental Health Clinician with HASI Plus will also design and facilitate proactive, person-directed interventions to enhance the individuals understanding of their mental health issue, promote their self
- determination, choices and resilience, and develop opportunities for community integration and citizenship.

**Selection Criteria**:
**_ Essential:_**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, nursing, social work or occupational therapy.
- Specialist mental health skills and experience working in a clinical setting.
- Maintain current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and expert knowledge of data information management systems.
- Ability to assess performance deficiencies and invoke reasonable effective and supportive programs for improvement
- Maintain a current Australian Driver’s Licence

**_Desirable:_**
- A personal lived experience of a mental health issue.
- Demonstratedunderstandingofthechallengesfacedbypeoplewithalivedexperienceofsevereandpersistent mental health issues and how providing a recovery-oriented service is of benefit to people.
- Experience working in Aboriginal communities and with other diverse groups
