BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Mental Health Clinician - Infant Child Youth Mental Health Service - Full Time - Permanent

The Mental Health Clinician will be a valued member of the ICY-AMHWS and undertake a full range of clinical casework and other therapeutic interventions in collaboration with peers within AWH ICY-AMHWS, including formal assessments, individual and family system work. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

• Provide mental health assessment, interventions and case management services to clients and their families including those with co-morbid difficulties.
• Assess level of urgency in situations of crisis assessment in order to priorities level of interventions required
• Undertake urgent mental health crisis assessments in the ED, or home, school, community environment when appropriate and safe to do so, with ability to assess level of urgency in situations of crisis assessment in order to priorities level of interventions required.
• Work collaboratively with clients, families and other services to ensure best outcomes for clients.
• Skills and interest working with diverse groups, including CALD, ATSI and LGBTIQA+

Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies. The diversity of our service provides a range of experiences for our team and will assist you in expanding and embedding your clinical practice skills.
