Genus Plus Group is at the forefront of Australia's infrastructure, energy, and utilities transformation. With a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across the country, we are seeking a strategic and commercially astute **Pre-Contracts Manager** to join our Osborne Park based team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to play a key role in the front-end of project delivery—from tendering and negotiation through to contract execution.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Pre-Contracts & Estimating Support**
- Provide strategic input and advice to the Estimating Team during tender preparation
- Source and assess subcontractor proposals for compliance and value
- Assist with the development of accurate, competitive, and commercially sound bids
- Drive the pre-contracts process by coordinating risk management activities, insurance requirements, and ‘Go / No Go’ assessments
- Participate in contract negotiations and manage approvals for execution
- Maintain and grow a robust opportunity pipeline in collaboration with business development

**Business Development & Tender Strategy**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Lead the creation of clear and compelling win strategies
- Support the preparation of EOIs, RFQs, and tender submissions
- Ensure finalised contracts align with agreed commercial and technical terms
- Engage with customers and leverage existing contacts to identify growth opportunities

**Contracts Management Support**
- Provide expert commercial guidance to the Operations and Management Teams
- Ensure proper communication and awareness of executed contracts across the business
- Support and review the submission of variations, claims, and site instructions
- Oversee high-value claim reviews (>$20,000) and tender term evaluations (>$100,000)
- Ensure adherence to company commercial policies and relevant legal frameworks
- Support the development of Contract Rights & Obligations across teams

**About You**:
You are a commercially minded leader with a strong grasp of contract law, pre-award strategy, and project risk, ready to shape successful project outcomes from day one.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in contracts, commercial/business law, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior commercial or contract management role
- Deep understanding of AS4000 suite and Bespoke Contracts (both lump sum and SOR) and Australian standards in construction and risk
- Demonstrated success in commercial negotiation and pre-contract processes
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- White Card, National Police Clearance, and valid “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project
- Proven ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks, and work independently or within a team

**Desirable**:

- Qualifications or experience in Project Management
- Background in communications, electricity, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Experience with contract formation, tendering, and business development activities
