**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

We are seeking an exceptional and collaborative administrator to coordinate the work of the City Strategy Branch, which contributes to the design and planning of our future city so that it is thriving and resilient, and enables all communities to flourish.

Reporting to the Director City Strategy, the Branch Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative, project and financial support to the branch’s teams. Managing the branch support team, the Coordinator will ensure effective delivery of the branch’s Council Plan Actions and Organisational Plan Actions. The position is a critical role within the Branch with a high level customer interface with the Divisions across Council.

The Coordinator will manage the project support resources and workflow and actively contribute to business processes and communication improvements to strive for best practice. They will drive the content of Branch meetings, thought leadership series as well as the professional development program for the branch. The Branch Coordinator will consistently improve processes, communication, and project management practice. The Coordinator will be accountable for ensuring project timelines are met.

- Advanced project management skills, including the ability to plan, monitor and assess project risks and issues
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven written and oral communication skills
- Highly developed initiative and organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise conflicting work demands
- Proven ability in establishing and maintaining professional collaborative internal and external relationships
