Treehouse Innovative Families and Ladybug Therapeutic Collective (Treehouse & Ladybug) provide

comprehensive therapeutic care, support, and services to individuals in our residential care program and NDIS participants. We create opportunities for individuals in our care to thrive and lead meaningful lives. Treehouse & Ladybug provide a holistic, team-based approach whereby therapeutic specialists, behaviour support practitioners, psychologists, counsellors, and therapeutic carers, together, address each individual’s unique needs. Fostering a nurturing and healing environment enabling healthy attachments to be formed, we tailor our support to the specific goals, strengths, and challenges of each participant.

**The Opportunity**

As a Disability Support Worker, your role involves assisting participants in actively participating in the community through chosen activities. Your responsibility includes creating a safe environment to help participants develop their everyday living skills. You will play a key role in fostering positive interactions within their community, supporting them in working towards achieving their NDIS Goals. Your tasks will also include assisting participants with domestic tasks in their homes and providing necessary support for short stays in alternative accommodations.
- Assisting with domestic duties including shopping, meal preparation and other housework
- Ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Personal care, showering, dressing and manual handling
- Attending community programs with the participant

This role works in multiple locations ranging from Lismore to Gold Coast.

**Selection Criteria/Requirements**
- Current Working with Children Check and Blue Check
- NDIS Worker Clearance (NDISWC)
- Current police check conducted within the last 12 months
- Valid Australian driver's license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Orientation Module (and relevant NDIS compulsory modules)
- Relevant qualifications acceptable are Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma and Degrees in relevant fields and or/relevant experience
