Central Auto Auctions was formed in 1977 and is Queensland's oldest privately owned DEALER ONLY Auction House.

We are currently seeking applications for the position of a Vehicle Detailers and or Vehicle Testing Assistant, to join our team whose primary focus will be on detailing and testing our vehicles.

  • Casual position with potential to convert to permanent part-time (flexible on role given experience)  or permanent
  • Immediate start
  • Monday to Friday - (Mon to Thurs 8am start to approximately  2:30/3:00pm, Friday 8am to 12:00pm approximately)
  • Open to individuals looking for a few days of work if you are studying or looking to get back into the workforce
  • Duties include detailing and testing our motor vehicles, driving vehicles through the auction on auction days (Wednesday and Fridays) and other general duties as directed
  • There may be potential to progress into a team leader role given your experience

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles (if applying for testing role)
  • Basic knowledge of detailing and or buffing
  • Passion for cars and the automotive industry
  • Able to work harmoniously in a team environment
  • Previous skills in leading a small team an advantage but not essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of vehicle auction operations or similar environment well regarded but not essential
  • Reliable, honest and hard-working
  • Takes pride in performing work to a high standard
  • Current valid MANUAL motor vehicle driver's license is essential
