We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our team based at Huntingwood. Reporting to the Stock Control Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring t he correct amount of stock is purchased to meet demand whilst keeping the costs of holding stock to a minimum.

What you’ll do

Achieve or exceed Service Level Targets whilst ensuring Aged Stock and Short Code write-offs are below maximum allowances

Maximise income on purchasing against price increases and on off invoice deals

Make sure inventory is maintained in line with company directives

Build relationships with suppliers, buyers and trading managers

Ensure effective stock allocations

Communicate clearly with all internal and external stakeholders
Manage Daily Vendor Risk Reviews are effectively, including Non-Review day risks assessments

Verify all bookings for deliveries to the distribution centres are made in accordance with Metcash Chain of Responsibility policy

What you’ll bring

Experience in a similar role and/or background in FMCG wholesale / retail operations within grocery / liquor industry

Purchasing experience

Problem solving skills

Strive for continuous improvement

Experience with Microsoft Office

WMS - Dallas, Blue Yonder, Yard and Dock (training will be offered)
