Our Summer Season is approaching us fast. Operating at more than 50 locations across the state we’re offering casual seasonal opportunities for new and experienced lifeguard

**About the Centre**

Coburg Leisure Centre (CLC) is one of six Aquatic and Leisure Facilities within Active Merri-bek. CLC is a year-round facility with a 25-metre heated indoor pool, heated learner's pool and toddler's play pool, spa, sauna and steam room, gym and group fitness classes, as well as child care.

**About the Role**

As a Lifeguard at one of our locations, you’ll help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You’ll be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe. Duties of the role include:

- Supervising a large aquatic space while pro-actively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
- Carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment

**About you**

We are seeking motivated, organised and pro-active Lifeguards to come and join the team. You will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users. Other required qualities are:

- Ability to make decisions while under pressure
- Being able to manage conflicts with patrons and users
- Ability to stay alert and vigilant in a repetitive work environment
- Providing excellent customer service for all members and guests

**Qualifications**
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
