We are looking for a Training and Compliance Officer who can bring their own flare and passion for education and training to the role whilst being driven to support the delivery of the State’s road Safety program. This pivotal role will support the delivery of our professional training programs to new and existing staff to achieve the client’s objectives.

**The Opportunity and impact**

Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will coordinate and facilitate new starter training and upskilling of our existing team members.

Success in this role will come from your excellent organisational skills, your ability to develop and maintain strong business partnerships with internal stakeholders and your proactive coordination of a busy training calendar.

As this role is multi-faceted, excellent database management skills, written and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team are essential.

The first few weeks in a new role and workplace are the most memorable. You’ll be working hard to ensure our new starters have the best possible initial experience. This role directly enables new starters to gain confidence in their roles, building connections to their team, Serco and our client’s purpose and values.

**Daily you will**:

- Manage and facilitate training programs for staff with the knowledge and practical skills to carry out work-related tasks.
- Analyse and identify skills gaps and performance improvement opportunities across all teams.
- Support organisational planning by undertaking coordination of key activities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to solve specific training progression on resolving skill-related performance issues.
- Maintain documentation and training materials in line with requirements.
- Responsible for administration and coordination duties.

**About You**
- Cert IV in training and assessment or equivalent is essential.
- Experience in a training facilitation role is essential.
- A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement
- Must have exceptional attention to detail skills, with a real passion for focusing on details
- Bring a passion and experience in supporting others to learn and develop, understand and support different learning styles
- An understanding of contact centre operations (ideally)
- Ability to be available to meet a training schedule in the office (rotating roster)
- Can establish and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment where everyone thrives.
- Warm and inviting interpersonal style; approachable, enthusiastic and engaging.
- Have a high level of integrity
- Have intuition and Emotional Intelligence to know who to help, what to say and to read the mood and needs of new starters
- Eligibility to work for State Government (with appropriate working rights)
