**The Opportunity**

The Marine Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning scheduled maintenance and repairs for our Transshipment Vessels to ensure the fleet achieves maximum production in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

You will play an integral part supporting the material handling system for the transhippers, whilst also be involved with maintenance planning for the barges and tugs including shutdown planning for dry-docks.

For this position you will report directly to Superintendent Materials Handling and be part of our broader Technical Services Marine team. This role will be located at our HQ office on Osborne Park, and on occasions oversee projects up onsite as the business requires.

**Key responsibilities**
- Carry out maintenance planning and scheduling processes for the site mechanical, electrical and operational teams.
- Schedule resources, labour, materials and plant access for preventative, planned and emergency maintenance works.
- Prepare work packs for execution each shift by the fitters / electricians / boilermakers.
- Ensure safety is incorporated into your planned and scheduled work orders with the execution of maintenance functions.
- Preparation, planning & implementation of maintenance schedules
- Preparing shut scope for major dry docking or TSV outages including detailed Gantt charts
- Developing long term maintenance plans on an 18, 6 and 3-month plan.
- Maintain equipment lifecycle history in the maintenance systems for all major and minor tasks.
- Providing communication channels, interface and coordination between projects team and operations
- Liaise to address any proposed modifications to project scope, schedule or budget and influence to minimise changes.
- Identify changes in scope of work, ensure planning measures are taken with internal and external processes/clients to reassess renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities
- Provide Support to Maintenance department to ensure procurement is streamlined and minimise delays
- Set-up fortnightly plans with consultation with maintenance supervisors
- Produce weekly Maintenance Management KPI’s

**What is required**
- Relevant trade certificate
- Extensive experience in maintenance/shutdown planning
- Experience in planning, scheduling and budgeting activities (Cargo Systems is highly desirable)
- Experience with a transhipping operation, mineral processing plant or similar
- Knowledge of material handling systems
- High level of initiative, planning and drive to deliver outcomes.
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Attention to detail
