**The Role**

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Specialist, Project Management to join a dynamic team of professionals in a growing Defence environment. As Lead Specialist, you will work to support various project operations including project planning, scoping, schedules, budget plans, stakeholder management and other requirements approved by the company.

**Primary responsibilities include**:

- Manage and execute project operations and activities
- Mentor, coach and conduct employee performance appraisals for any assigned personnel
- Plan, budget, organise and control projects, including leading recruiting for projects
- Meet project scope, schedule and budget plans
- Assist in workforce planning in support of current projects and/or assigned proposal capture activities
- Customer and stakeholder engagement
- Build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Act with a degree of autonomy and personal accountability for team outcomes
- Attend relevant customer meetings as required
- Foster a positive work environment that is professional, dynamic and innovative
- Provide consultancy support as required
- Report on project status
- Ensure a safe working environment

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Project management or professional consulting experience
- Qualifications in an engineering, related technical and/or project management field
- Recognised Project Management certification (PMI or AIPM) preferred
- Strong client and staff engagement, relationship and communications skills
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- DMO/Defence/Defence Industry experience
- Current or eligible to obtain a Defence security clearance
- Experience with CASG (Gates 0-2)
- Have an Australian Government security clearance - Minimum NV1
