We are leading the way in New Energy - As we continue to deliver & evolve, we are looking for an experienced **Design Manager **to join our team.

**About The Role**

The Design Manager is accountable for planning & design, managing and controlling assigned tender(s) or project(s) to ensure timely completion, compliance with customer requirements, maximum efficiency in the use of Company resources and maximum profitability. The position is also responsible for all technical work on a tender or project in accordance with the OHS&E, contract and QA requirements.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**
- Prepare and coordinate concept designs for tenders and bids.
- Support estimating with generation of engineering quantities and RFQ packages for tenders and bids.
- Prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the duration of the tender or project.
- Set up and administer the tender or project design filing system.
- Ensure that all elements of the design are coordinated between all design team members.
- Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of design resources allocated to the tender or project.
- Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design.
- Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
- Endeavour to ensure that the design is executed such that the cost of the related constructed items, are within the project budget.
- Ensure that the design team provides all necessary support to the procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
- Ensure constructability of designs.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Qualifications acceptable for Member grade of Engineers Australia
- Design and Construction Experience in HV Power Systems projects
- Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale Battery Storage projects
- Ability to develop concept designs for new Energy projects
