**About the role**

We are seeking Social Workers to join our compassionate team at Southern Highlands Private Hospital. With our focus on providing patient-centered care, our Social Workers play a crucial role in supporting patients in hospital settings.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team, working with experienced healthcare professionals to identify patient needs and develop appropriate care plans. You will be responsible for providing emotional support, counselling, practical assistance to patients and their families and ensure a smooth discharge.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work
- Relevant experience working as a Social Worker in a hospital setting, with experience in an acute ward setting.
- Eligible to be an accredited member of AASW.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with consumers, their families and all health care professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team including internal and external agencies.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and manage time effectively, prioritize competing demands.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care sector will be highly regarded.

Southern Highlands Private Hospital is a modern facility built in 1996. Located in Bowral in the picturesque and peaceful Southern Highlands of NSW. We are 1 ½ hours from Sydney,
1 ¾ hours from Canberra and 55 minutes from the South Coast.
