About the role

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join the team at NRS Independent Services Pty Ltd in Young, NSW. This part-time role is crucial in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly and disabled clients, allowing them to live independently and with dignity.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events
  • Monitoring client well-being and reporting any changes or concerns to the management team
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and industry regulations
  • Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to client support

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in aged or disability support, desired but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Aged Care or Disability Support, or equivalent
  • A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
