**POSITION PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE**
This role works within the People and Culture Service to maintain and deliver Council’s
people and culture strategy. The role holder will support activities in the Career and
Capability team, including employee performance reviews, recruitment and learning and
development.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Responsible for all aspects of the performance review process including project
management of annual employee reviews of all staff including regular reporting of
review completions, following up staff and leaders, providing support to employees
and leaders on performance reviews system administration, managing the quality of
the data and records management for the calibration process.
2. Provide expert advice on employee performance issues to frontline management and
employees. Proactively support through the provision of training, support materials and
guides.
3. Responsible for providing support to recruitment coordinator for all aspects of
recruitment activities including but not limited to booking interviews; entering invoices
recruitment panel chairs and recruitment panel members; support for advertising and
mailbox monitoring and management. Providing cover for the recruitment function
when recruitment coordinator is not available.
4. Support Learning and Development function at Council, including regular reporting of
course completions from Learning Management System (LMS) ie Foundations/
Moodle. Monitoring of foundations inbox when L&D advisor not available. Educating
self on Moodle/Foundation and storyline software to enable backfilling when required.
5. Proactively advise and respond to employee and management enquiries relating to
as initial escalation point for annual performance review issues.
6. Support the implementation of succession planning at Council with the provision of
quality data, updating templates and assisting with support materials and guides.
7. Assist with employee performance and succession planning activities by:
a) Proactively reviewing, reporting and making recommendations to management;
b) Participating in policy, procedural and process improvement reviews and make
recommendations for improvement and updates;
c) Participating in projects;
d) Monitoring and ensuring implementation of improvements and updates;
e) Participating in and delivery of employee-wide education of performance
management;
f) Monitoring and ensuring compliance with performance management activities.
8. Responsible for ensuring all employee information is accurately maintained in
Council’s HRIMS (iChris)/OneCouncil and Content Management systems including
maintaining highest level of privacy and confidentiality in relation to performance
records, succession planning and salary information.
9. Responsible for producing timely and accurate reports including some manipulating of
data.
10. On occasion, assist in the provision of an accurate, timely and customer focused
production of Council’s payroll.
11. Assist with delivery of other initiatives and projects within People and Culture team as
required including (but not limited to) supporting employees relations, DiSC
administration, OneCouncil UAT, job evaluations, payroll activities.
