**About the role**

TAFE NSW is seeking skilled and knowledgeable professionals in the field of music to join our team as a Technical Officer - Engineer (Music), based at our Ultimo campus. This permanent part-time role (17.5 hours per week) is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support for the delivery of music courses, including installing and configuring hardware and software. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining a high-quality, customer-focused learning environment by performing a range of technical and ancillary activities that support teaching and enhance the student experience.

**About You**

As a Technical Officer, you bring a strong background in music vocational fields and technical support, with hands-on experience using industry-standard software such as Ableton, Pro Tools, and Logic. You are proficient in AV systems, lighting, and equipment maintenance, ensuring practical classes and live events run seamlessly. Your strengths include managing bookings, preparing learning environments, and maintaining instruments and electrical equipment. With excellent communication skills, you thrive both independently and within a team, consistently delivering high-quality service and meeting tight deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Appropriate post-secondary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in music technology, pro audio/studio equipment and Apple/Mac computing equipment and networking environments.
