**The Role**

As the Plant Support Officer, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Network Development, Assets & Maintenance department.

You will provide pivotal administrative and operational support to V/Line’s Plant Maintenance department.

This role is responsible for the procurement of materials and services, review plant utilisation, communication and assisting with operational efficiency within the team.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Sourcing and comparing quotes for materials, equipment and services, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Creating and managing purchase orders, tracking approvals and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Distributing timely and accurate communications to key stakeholders regarding plant availability and utilisation.
- Maintaining stock levels and manage inventory.
- Providing regular reports on stock usage and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Providing administrative support to the Plant Maintenance team, including scheduling, data entry, and document management
- Ensuring procurement, inventory, and operational activities align with V/Line’s safety and compliance standards.
- Coordinating Toolbox Talks and safety meetings including sourcing content, creating agendas and taking minutes

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023
