**Job Description**:
The Energy Innovation & Technology Lead will be a specialist in current and emerging technologies across the energy sector.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development this role will require you to use your expertise, industry experience and knowledge of current and emerging energy technology to support the development of acquisition strategy, deal origination, technical assessment, and execution for growth opportunities for Squadron Energy.

Duties include:

- Use your knowledge of the energy sector to support strategy development, deal origination and commercial approach.
- Identify current and emerging technologies to support Squadron growth strategy, acquisition roadmap and information transfer.
- Develop strong relationships with external networks to be across technology developments and emerging businesses.
- Support the Head of Corporate Development in developing a roadmap of technologies and assessment criteria.
- Have input into the technical elements of project and corporate financial models.
- Assist in the execution of selected deal execution activities including due diligence, negotiation and conditions precedent.
- Assist in the development of business plans and value realisation roadmaps.
- Prepare negotiating strategies and lead negotiating teams on commercial issues.
- Assist in the implementation of post-acquisition implementation including optimisation and investment realisation as it relates to business case.

**Qualifications**:
You hold an undergraduate qualification in engineering, science, commerce or similar.

You hold a post-graduate qualification in engineering, science is commerce highly desirable.

You have demonstrated experience in energy sector and/or associated landscape.

You have demonstrated experience in start-up and/or technology-lead environment.

You have demonstrated experience in assessment of complex technologies.

You can communicate well at senior levels in written and verbal forms.

You are solutions focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced role.

You can work as part of a team.
