ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Founded in 1980, Christian College Geelong is a K-12 school where academic achievement is balanced with care and concern for each student's character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith. We have five campuses across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast region as well as a rural experience for Year 9 students at an expansive farm property in Scotsburn, near Ballarat, and a unique Art, Technology and Design campus for Senior School students in Waurn Ponds.

THE ROLE

Part Time, Fraction 0.8 | Ongoing, commencing Term 1, 2026

The Faculty Assistant plays a vital role in supporting teaching staff by ensuring the smooth operation of classroom and instructional activities. This position is responsible for preparing and distributing teaching materials, managing and replenishing classroom supplies and resources, assisting in maintaining compliance with school policies and procedures, and providing in-class technical support to facilitate effective learning environments, where appropriate. The Faculty Assistant works collaboratively with faculty and administrative staff to enhance the educational experience for students and uphold the school's standards of excellence.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience working in a support, or assistant capacity within practical learning environments such as classrooms, studios, labs, or workshops – or a willingness to learn and contribute in these settings.
  • A proactive and reliable approach to assisting teaching staff with the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of materials, equipment, and learning spaces.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to follow instructions, manage competing priorities, and maintain a clean and safe working environment,
  • You are a team player, capable and competent in a support role, and be able to work in a Christian environment and participate within the Christian ethos of the College.
  • A commitment in your everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people, always.
