We are looking to add another Strategic Mortgage Broker to our vibrant team.

**What we provide you**:

- Portfolio: Existing database of up to 200 clients to begin with.
- Potential for Credit Analyst (broker assistant) support once settling $20M over a six month period.
- Mortgage broking and strategy mentoring from seasoned Strategic Mortgage Broking team leader, 16 years in the business who settles $10M+ per month.
- Monthly training - covering a range of internal policies, procedures and cyber security.

**About the role**:

- Client liaison: Meet with clients (both new and existing) to understand their financial goals and assess their requirements and objectives.
- Assessment: Gather information about the client’s financial situation to provide personalised mortgage strategy advice, complete an assessment of their borrowing capacity and viable lender options, then provide a recommendation in line with the client’s requirements, objectives and best interests.
- Compliance: Comply with NCCP and ASIC Regulations on Responsible Lending and Best Interest Duty Obligations and follow internal policy and procedures to a high standard.

**What we are looking for**:

- Work Experience - 3-4 years working as a qualified mortgage broker (experience as a credit analyst will be considered).
- Qualifications - Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking & Professional Membership with either MFAA or FBAA
- Very strong with numbers & maths & lender policy knowledge
- Self-motivated and highly organised and can evidence that to this point in their career, has a good work ethic/attitude.
- Confident with humility to understand that year 1 can feel like taking a step backwards, in order to take two or three steps forward to build a good foundation and success in the long run - you will understand that learning mortgage strategy to a reasonable level will take at least a year, connecting with their client base and building a pipeline takes time (first lodgement may take 3 months, a pre-approval client may not purchase for 3 to 6 months and may not settle for 6 to 12)
- Wants to learn beyond mortgage broking - has an interest in strategy and property planning and are eager to go.
- Long term career goal is to be a successful high earning strategic mortgage broker - potential opportunity to become a future team leader, but that would be a 3 to 10 year trajectory. You want to be part of a team and does not have goals of running their own business.
- Software: proficient with Microsoft Excel and prior use with Connective Mercury CRM is advantageous

**Salary**: $70,000.08 - $90,000.00 per year
