**Employment Opportunity**
The Freedom of Information and Privacy section (FOIP) within the Office of Corporate Counsel (OCC) is primarily responsible for processing the department's access to information requests under the FOI and Privacy Acts.
FOIP processes Freedom of Information requests made to the department, the Attorney-General, the Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General and to the Inspector of the National Anti-Corruption Commission. The section is also responsible for undertaking the department's Privacy Act and public interest disclosure (PID) casework functions, and coordinates the department's input to whole-of-government regulatory reform activities.

- assist the department to meet its statutory obligations under the FOI Act and Privacy Act
- provide advice to, and work with, business areas to finalise FOI cases
- contribute to the development and improvement of best practice FOI procedures and systems
- build and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- liaise and consult on information access matters, and
- work flexibly and collegiately in response to changes in business demands.
**Other qualifications**:Legal qualifications are not essential but highly regarded.
