We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team based in the Perth CBD. This is a full time three-year maximum term role.
Reporting to the Procurement & Expediting Superintendent you will be providing procurement and contracts support and expertise to business stakeholders including corporate services, mining & processing operations and projects.
**The opportunity**
- Managing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
- Preparing and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and tender documents.
- Conducting bid evaluations and negotiations and recommend contract awards based on cost, quality, and timeline considerations.
- Driving value from the company's expenditure through collaboratively working with stakeholders (mining operation, logistics and finance) and using evidenced based decision making across goods and services.
- Managing sourcing events end-to-end, from requisition to receipt, while regularly tracking spending
- Establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to achieve reliable supply chain performance.
- Assessing supplier capabilities, including technical, financial, and logístical criteria.
- Ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project and operational requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating risks in the supply chain, including delivery delays, cost overruns, and supplier non-compliance.
- Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, logistics, and site operations to align procurement and expediting schedules with project milestones.
- Supporting site procurement teams to seek sound competitive options or alternatives for meeting site requirements where options may seem limited/exhausted, ensuring compliance with the Procurement Policy.

- Relevant qualification in procurement and/or contract administration.
- Results-oriented with a focus on cost optimisation and timely delivery.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and vendor negotiations.
- Proficient in the use of procurement software.
- Proactive, with an ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Competent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Experience within the mining or resources sector.
- Demonstrated success in business improvement and change management.
- Pronto experience is desirable.
