As a Evaluation Officer (quantitative focus), you will play a key role in supporting evaluation projects within the Victorian Government (Department of Health and Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing).

Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting in preparing and administering evaluations, focusing on data access, collection, preparation, management and quantitative analysis and data visualisation.

In this role, you will focus on contributing to the completion of projects, managing your tasks efficiently, and integrating feedback to continuously improve your work. Your efforts will support the strategic and operational goals of the Victorian Government.

Quantitative Analysis
- **Assess impact**: Provide support in conducting impact evaluations for government programs. Under the guidance of more senior staff, design and use appropriate methodologies and statistical models, including the use of appropriate counterfactuals.

**Financial modelling and economic analyses**: Contribute to costing analyses to help inform evaluation findings and generate evidence for policy recommendations.

Evaluation design and execution - Knowledge of design options for evaluations using mixed methods approaches.

Continuous Improvement - Commitment to contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and a feedback culture.

Communication and Reporting - Commitment to create clear and impactful reports and presentations. Ability to effectively communicate complex data and recommendations to diverse audiences.

**Qualifications / Specialist Expertise**

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, impact evaluation, data science, public health, epidemiology, or another discipline with a strong statistical component would be preferred.
- Applicants with a tertiary qualification in other fields but with work experience in the above fields and experience in impact assessment or econometrics woul
