A fast growing and dynamic group of private education colleges, UP Education provides a rare opportunity for a senior academic to generate academic strategies and implement plans to improve efficiency while achieving quality student learning experiences.

Working closely with academic teams to drive academic quality and integrity through reviews and improvements will allow The Dean - Higher Education to not only make their mark on the higher education landscape in Australia, but also evolve their academic career to Academic Level D.

As a teaching-focussed group, UP Education supports scholarly activity and research actively to allow teaching staff the opportunity for constant growth and learning.

UP Education is a group of private education colleges that deliver courses in both higher education and vocational sectors across Australia and New Zealand, educating thousands of students annually. In Australia, the group includes Acknowledge Education, the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and Endeavour College of Natural Health.

The position can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth and is permanent full-time (with 6 months' probation). 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE) would also be considered.

**The main responsibilities undertaken by the position include**:

- Leading and supporting academic teams in delivering high quality higher education courses.
- Leading academic and course reviews and making appropriate recommendations and improvements.
- Developing and implementing plans for academic and course improvements.
- Inspiring and supporting excellent academic standards and service.
- Upholding a positive leadership approach that encourages academic quality and student satisfaction.
- Monitoring and reporting on academic outcomes, teaching and learning plans, and metrics.
- Managing and participating in academic governance processes and committees.
- Developing academic leadership capability.
- Undertaking high-level administration

**The successful applicant will have**:

- A recognised PhD or Doctorate.
- Excellent teaching skills in higher education contexts.
- Excellent liaison, negotiation and collaborative capability.
- Scholarly activity representative of the academic level.
