DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage staff on a daily basis and give direction according to the daily priorities.
- Review daily schedules with regard to hours verse work allocation & productivity targets.
- Contribute to formal reviews conducted by the Operations Manager, with warehouse staff members.
- Loading of trucks via forklift and dock levellers as priority dictates.
- Support the Transport Manager in regard to daily movements of freight to our customers and stock transfers between warehouses.
- Ensuring the correct goods are loaded and PODs are obtained for designated pickups.
- Track all pallet movements and sign off on all documentation.
- Receiving goods into our WMS from our suppliers, ensuring accuracy.
- Following up on any known variances with the purchasing team.
- Maintain and monitor all warehouse stock movements, ensuring accuracy.
- Participate in stock counts and stock control.
- Ensure all inventory items have bar codes recorded in the WMS.
- Investigate picking errors, report them, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Implement strategies to minimize inventory breakages.
- Complete Supervisor Stock as needed

**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED**

The more common skills and attributes that are most needed for this role may include:

- General understanding and training in modern warehousing approach.
- Training in the operating systems, equipment, and procedures the plant uses.
- Forklift license is mandatory and High reach experience is preferred
- Minimum 2 to 4 years experience in warehousing with safety management, planning, troubleshooting, and performance improvement type activities.
- Ability to work effectively with teams and team members.
- Good communication at all levels
- Ability to identify problems or issues and provide solutions for improvement.
- Will adopt and maintain all safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures within the work area
