We are a flat pack cabinet manufacturer located Gold Coast QLD and have been long established since 2006, we are seeking a machine operator for one of our Homag Edgebanders.

For those who don't know what an edgebander is, its a machine that applies 1mm thick ABS plastic edging to kitchen doors, drawer fronts, carcasses and all other type of cabinetry that can be found in a house or shopfront. Our machine is towards the top end in the quality it can produce.

We would have one of the most advanced factories in SEQ, we use state of the art Homag machinery throughout the factory. We run a clean and safe factory environment.

Daily job details:

- Running HOMAG edgebander
- Use of Powertouch screen to control machine
- Selecting right material to edge doors or carcasses
- Fine tuning of machine to suit different material
- Maintenece of machine when propmted by the software
- Cleaning machine 3 times per day
- Stock control of edgeband tape
- Feeding parts into machine
- Unloading parts from machine into trolley
- Read labels to understand where the parts need to be edged

For this job you will need the following:

- Physically fit
- Can handle repetitive work
- Ability to work at fast pace
- Good eye for detail
- Good understanding of computers
- Decent mechanical knowledge
- Eye for detail
- MUST be willing to work overtime

Experience is a bonus but not essential, we are able to teach you how to use the machine.

The job is mainly Monday to Friday during the year and during peak season which is the lead up to Christmas we will work some Saturday mornings.

We will offer casual job to begin with and if both parties are happy then job will become full-time after 3 months trial.
