The Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Laser Cutter Machine Operator & Sales Representative
. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and thrives in customer-facing environments. You'll be operating state-of-the-art laser cutting machinery while also helping clients bring their ideas to life through sales and service.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation:

  • Operate and maintain laser cutting machines with precision and care
  • Prepare materials and ensure accurate setup for each job
  • Perform quality checks and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, via phone, online and in person
  • Understand client needs and translate them into tailored laser cutting solutions
  • Prepare accurate quotes and manage pricing discussions professionally
  • Follow up on leads and convert enquiries into confirmed orders
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services based on client projects
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Represent DDP Laser at industry events or open days when required
  • Maintain CRM records and contribute to sales reporting and forecasting

What We're Looking For

  • MUST HAVE - Experience with laser cutting machinery or similar equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Sound to Advanced computer skills (e.g., email, quoting software, spreadsheets, invoicing)
  • Own reliable vehicle
